ESTA is a specially designed program that checks whether people can travel to the United States without a visa. If you don’t have an ESTA VISA, you can’t enter the United States even if you meet all of the other requirements of the Visa Waiver Program. U.S. Homeland Security started using this system in 2009 to make travel more secure and get permissions much faster, so it was a good idea to use it. Because of the ESTA, its holders can only stay in the United States for up to 90 days. The ESTA is only for short-term stays, and you can’t last more than that.
